“It was one of my favorites for sure and exactly what I needed. So often we are so busy racing, taking training/going to therapies that we are the last ones to take a moment, if at all. The presentation was food for the soul, so I just wanted to reach out to say thank you."

The session provided a space for participants to feel less alone and foster a sense of understanding, addressing the unique challenges of those in the helping field who often experience burnout and compassion fatigue. By emphasizing the importance of self-awareness, staff explored how tending to their own emotions can lead to greater resilience and less burnout. Through mindfulness practices and shared experiences, they gained tools to process grief and reconnect with their sense of purpose, enhancing their ability to support patients while prioritizing their own well-being..

Through mindfulness and trauma-informed practices, they learned ways to shift from overwhelm and exhaustion to calm, confidence, and connection. Paul Denniston is the founder of Grief Yoga® (for Yoga teachers) and Grief Movement Training (for therapists & counselors), Both of these trainings are designed to guide participants in teaching and supporting their students and clients who struggle with grief and trauma.

Beth provided guidance and support to students during the teacher training. In Grief Movement Training, participants include therapists, mental health professionals, end-of-life doulas, nurses, and other helping professions. Beth supported and guided these participants as they explored and healed their own grief, while also learning specific structures and techniques to assist their clients.

As an assistant to Paul and leader within the organization, Beth provided support and guidance to hundreds of students throughout their course. She offered assistance even after they have completed the training.
